Mr. Jesus Franco Abascal, General Director of Cintermex, welcomed the more than 350 attendees who met in the   Convention Center's TLC Hall on Tuesday May 25th at 20:00hrs.

 After inviting all present to enjoy the event, and congratulating all the nominees, he introduced Mr. Juan Gabriel Tamez Ramírez, Commercial and Customer Service Director, who was in charge of reading out the names of the first place winners in more than 20 categories of nominees to the Eventus Award 09, followed by Mr. Rubén Hernández, Director of Administration and Maintenance, and Mr. Armando Espinosa, Director of Operations, Cintermex.

A specialized committee from different areas of the venue was in charge of selecting the nominees for 22 categories from more than 550 events held during 2009, including the best event of the year to be recognized in this edition.

The selection process took into account very important items as well as assessments by the more than 8,000 exhibitors and close to 3 million visitors that every year attend the events held here.

The Eventus Award is a recognition for the organizers, who think of Monterrey as the City for their successful events and this is why one of the categories awarded in the latest editions is precisely in for Best New Trade and Consumer Show since it is thanks to the creativity of the organizers as well as their entrepreneurial attitude that each year brings a greater variety of types of businesses to the shows.

At the end of the awards ceremony, the winners posed for the traditional group photo. The winners were very pleased with the recognition given to their efforts in organizing their events.

Enjoying a delicious cocktail with appetizers prepared for the occasion, as well as the beverages of their preference, the guests were able to chat and spend a pleasant evening sharing their pleasant experiences from working in a venue with a true calling for service.

Attendees remained in the venue until around midnight, all the while expressing their commitment to continue making their best efforts for being included in among next year's nominees and winners of the Eventus Award.
